Measure the furniture
Knowing the approximate dimensions can help identify whether it will fit through doors, halls and gates.
Check the route
Walk the entire path from the furniture to the pickup point. Note stairs, tight corners, low ceilings and narrow doors.
Clear small items first
Remove lamps, decor, drawers and loose contents that could fall or slow the move.
Protect what stays
Move fragile items away from the route and identify walls, flooring or fixtures that need extra care.
Photograph the setup
A few photos can communicate the furniture size and access better than a short description.
